For the first time I have a few designs that can be put into production.( hoping to try wholesale YIKES) Still working on pictures by July 14TH should be posted.
The price of silver and materials in general is so out of my buget that I spent most winter going to auction houses. Was able to collect a nice assortment of broken and mangle silver bits and pieces.Some nice suprises like precious stones.
After processing all the silver( mostly melting and rolling down to sheets.) Was able to experiment with textures and patinas. My favorite are reticulation and liver of sulphur.
Liver of sulphur ages silver to a matte black, you can then burnish it with stainless steel and it gives you a shiny blue/black look. YUM
Reticulation a simple process just a bit tedious, requires you heat the silver and scurb away the black over and over until you raise the fine silver.Then you heat the silver until the copper under the fine silver start moving getting lumpy, giving you the impression of rough terra firma. Way cool
